How Can You Help?
You can partner with SHIELD Task Force in several ways, either as an individual or as an organization:
By volunteering your time and services.
By organizing a SHIELD event in your community.
By helping us raise awareness.
You can find more information about each option below. Also, feel free to reach out with any questions or ideas. We’d love to hear from you! Our email address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
When we say you can help, we mean it. We need volunteers like YOU to join the fight against child abuse.
Whether you’re a stay-at-home parent, a licensed professional, a prayer warrior, or a college student — everyone has a role to play. Our goal is to help you find yours.
Fill out our volunteer survey, and we’ll match you with opportunities that fit your unique interests and abilities.
One of the most impactful ways to get involved with SHIELD is to organize an event that will help raise awareness in your community.
SHIELD can present age-appropriate content on sexual abuse prevention at school assemblies. We offer trainings for churches and other organizations, and we are happy to speak at other events.
If you would like to bring SHIELD to your organization or community, fill out our event/training form.
Even if you’re unable to donate or volunteer right now, there are still ways you can help! Follow us on Facebook to keep up with everything SHIELD is doing. In addition to important updates, we’ll post articles, tips, FAQs, and other informative content. By liking and sharing our posts, you can help us reach more people.
Also, be sure to browse the resources available on our website. The more you know, the better equipped you’ll be to recognize and respond to abuse, support survivors, and protect the children in your life. And don’t be afraid to start conversations and share content with friends and family. Raising awareness about abuse issues — including grooming tactics, reporting requirements, and safety tips — is one of the easiest and most effective ways combat abuse.
